Collection documents the Dallas Public Library's interest in expanding its network of branch libraries. The report was sponsored by the Friends of the Dallas Public Library on behalf of the City of Dallas and written by Lowell A. Martin of Rutgers University. The report proposed a plan to place branch libraries throughout the city based on population projections and relative costs of building and maintaining the branches. A significant portion of the report includes population growth data and is accompanied by a number of tables, maps, and charts.
