Collection consists of one printed brochure showing the results of a survey of 44,000 businesses in Dallas, Texas. The survey was conducted in October, 1987 and 7,400 surveys were returned (17% return rate), tabulated, and sorted. This project was a part of an extensive business expansion and retention program aimed at businesses within the city of Dallas.
The Office of Economic Development was authorized by the Dallas City Council in February, 1977 to promote business retention and relocation to Dallas. It was created at the same time as the Economic Development Advisory Board and provides data, research, and other services to businesses.
